I had to reference The Secret Garden in this post title, because it's such a wonderful book for anyone who has ever loved and been nourished by a garden. A book I grew up on.

Simply lovely! My husband and I were gardening today too. I planted my own little herb garden with some mint, dill, thyme, oregano, and sage.

It was pretty, but we simply can barely maintain mowing let along flowey things that need care.
We have too much already animal wise sucking my time,
I couldn't cope with the plants sucking the rest.

your garden by the way is divine. A tangle of natures most delightful, I cannot imagine how awesome it is to sit outside on a Sunday with coffee in hand(no lattes right), soaking up the sun and scent!

I envy your garden... we have to dig up our lawn to get our septic repaired soon... so there goes my lawn... at least it gives me a chance to start over in that part at least... all plants are good plants but I miss 'flowers'... I love those 'cloud' photos... I love clouds... take care

I'm jealous. My front yard is shade and my back yard looks like the surface of the moon with all the craters left by my three dogs (and two girls!). Luckily, we live across the street from a public rose garden so I get to enjoy the view.
ReplyDeleteOh, those hot pink roses are stunning! I think I'm going to have to make a stop at Al's. I get about 90% of what I plant from my parents' garden, but a cheap local place to fill in the gaps would be perfect.
