Remembering an old friend

I'm sad to say that M's sidekick and longtime companion, Max, is no longer with us. His illness came on quite quickly and we didn't have long to say goodbye. I don't know if that's good or bad. But our family is one member short today, and a tribute is called for. Without further words...
