...for teaching me how to thread a sewing machine, way back in elementary school.
Turns out that memory is still buried somewhere in a deep and dusty recess of my brain.
Had it not been for that long-lost sense memory, I'm quite certain I would have given up almost immediately, and possibly even returned the new sewing machine to the store, and bagged the whole idea.
Instead, I was able to cut up a vintage apron I found once in an antique store, and refashion it in rather short order into a sundress for Q.
It's a total hackjob, of course - but it's cute on her and she was comfortable in it for a whole afternoon. The success (and above all the alacrity) of this project has encouraged me enough that I may, in fact, sew again.
Ah, summer.

I love the apron, turned sundress! And of course the little beauty inside the dress makes it all the more special. She is just doing so well, happy remaining summer!

Now if I could only thread my machine...
Congratulations on discovering your love of sewing again. I am doing the same. Now I am curious as to what your next project will be.
