The many faces of Q. Yes, that's duct tape on her hand...don't ask.
"I don't know...?"
This is a new gesture that she picked up from me, and which she uses constantly now. She uses it when looking for something she can't find. She uses it when you ask her a question she doesn't know the answer to. She uses it when she is at a loss for what to do next. It cracks us up.
This is a fan we brought back from China. Fortunately, it's well-crafted and can stand up to the test of a 19-month-old with an appetite for destruction. As you can see, she can look as demure as a choir boy one moment, and as wild as a punk-rocker the next.
I don't even know what to tell you about this face. I really don't.
A demure moment...contemplative, even. It lasted all of maybe five seconds, and then...
She decided to see if the fan was edible.

Just loving the many faces of Miss QQ!!!
That gorgeous t shirt perfectly accents the I don't know gesture! What a great group of pictures! She is so lively and so herself!
I love when they pick up our gestures. My daughter mimics my husband all the time. I love that little bit of hair you pick up on top of her head. Let me ask, why the duct tape? LOL.
Honestly, your guess is as good as mine, haha! She loves tape...always has. When she discovered duct tape, it was a whole new world!
dude , the punk rocker mug is cracking me up! Our girls should be in a band together...
QQ can play the fan!
an ouch on the duct tape...my girls have adhesive allergies..Piper's is bad, so if she had duct tape on her she'd have a rip roaring burn!
Lucky QQ is hardy!
perhaps she's more punk than my girls!
oh the many faces- how easy it is to love every.last.one.
OMG, I love the "I don't know" gesture. BB does it too, but not nearly so much now. I keep seeing QQ repeating BB, as she's a few months younger and it just cracks me up. I'm more impressed by your pics and descriptions, though. And how do you get her to pose???
Ps. And the face you don't know what to tell us about? I think it's "I know you're going to blog about me, Mom!"
I just love how expressive and communicative she is with her facial expressions. Not to mention just plain adorable!!
Gin =)
I am loving all the photos... gee, she has REALLY come out of her shell :)
Fliss, I don't think the girl ever had a "shell"! She's just out there. That's how she's always been.
Maggie...pose? I just follow her around with a camera 24/7. If I don't point a camera at her, she gets a little confused, and sometimes mimes "take a picture" as a cue to me.
