Our flower faerie
As things have gotten busy again, I've sort of let my morning herb ritual slide a bit. So it surprised me this morning when, as we inspected the pumpkin patch, I noticed that QQ had something green clutched in each fist.
She had apparently taken my herb-smelling ritual over of her own accord. She'd snatched a couple of mint leaves in passing, and was holding them alternately in front of her nose, inhaling deeply.
It's really a wakeup call when you realize how quickly your actions can influence a little sponge like this one. Makes you think a little more carefully about what you do!
Moving on to the thyme.
Daddy gets in on the act, on his way to work.
OK, done now. Pick me up? My butt's a little wet.

Maia, your child is ABUNDANTLY BLESSED with parents like you and Mike! Seriously, you are teaching this girl about all the finest things in life, and by finest, I mean the simple glorious pleasures like the smell of fresh herbs growing in ones own garden, the beauty of the Colorado sunset and the glory of a walk in the mountains. You really are an inspiration to me.
That was adorable! And yes, our girls are very observant and imitate what they see and hear. You learn this the hard way, like when Kerri yelled from the back car seat: "Dude, watch where you're going!".
I can't wait to see what else Flynn learns to do! (Maybe a camera is in her near future too!).
oh, she is so tiny! how much does she weigh? i love all the photos in the previous post, too. hugh hefner smoking jacket...very funny! she seems to have such an adventurous little spirit...what fun!
What a wonderful week you had!
Favorites:
Flynn's disco dance moves,
her looking so huggable in her pj's,
how amazing it is that she is continuing your herb routine with or without you,
tie for amazing: your Sam climbs the treehouse ladder,
and the treasure of "old" thoughtful friends.
Happy Week!
oh, and...
Go, Flynn, Go!
Hugs,
Trena
yes MJ is a very smart girl-us Moms have been blessed! It is so lovey to see Flynn out in the garden!
I'm so glad you're a mom... truly. You bring a fresh perspective and as a mom of four, I feel like I need to slow down and smell the mint!
Like mother like daughter... this little girl is like you and Mike rolled into one...
