What friends are for

OK, this is getting down to the nitty gritty. But in the interest of keeping it real: here's what I look like after 36 hours of virtually no sleep, under a great deal of stress, and in the same pajamas I've been wearing for two days (I probably don't smell great). Sans makeup, sans hairbrush, and (sadly) sans shower. But it's important because last night, at the height of my exhaustion, I found on my doorstep a package from my friend Fliss in Florida. A package just for nothing but to brightening my day! Now, that's really what friends are for. I've been "feeling the love" from a lot of corners lately, and I feel like I need to somehow express how much it means to be to have this great, strong net of people behind me, cheering me on, understanding during the tough times and rejoicing during the good time. People doing happy dances for us when good things happen, sharing their experiences when experience is needed, cracking jokes when nothing else will do any good! You all know who you are, all my lounge ladies and friends and neighbors and fellow wait-ers.
I am so very grateful, and so amazed at this virtual network of good friends I've developed during this endlessly astonishing journey of adoption. Thank you all!
Oh.....by the way, Fliss's package contained a beautiful Nepalese oil burner, topped with several beautiful iron birds - the perfect addition for our house full of exotic artifacts! It also contained (don't drool) a box of chocolate covered potato chips. Now, I ask you. What could possibly be more perfect after three days of exhaustion and emotional stress than chocolate covered potato chips?
(Oh, PS, I feel like I should say: everything's fine! No worries. So far so good. We are settling in for the rest of the wait, a little stress-worn, but otherwise unscathed. Think good thoughts for us, and we'll give you news when we can!)

I definitely need to try chocolate covered potato chips! Fliss, where ever did you find them?

We're also sending good vibes your way and I love the little chair! It's beautiful, and I can't wait to see it complete.

OK, where do you find chocolate covered potato chips? I have never heard of that, and I live with a chocoholic and his mini-me in training.
By the way, you still look fab regardless. Hang in there, all good things are worth the wait.

It IS a rocking dinosaur! A major score thanks to my SIL whose twins had another one that they preferred. I love hand-me-downs...and SILs!
