catching up

QiuQiu and I are sitting her on a cold, gunmetal-gray afternoon, snug in our home, listening to Strauss waltzes and eating honeyed yams. QiuQiu is, I believe, attempting to figure out how to open the toilet lid ;) and I am going through my photo archive and realizing I am waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy behind on posts. So far behind, in fact, that there's no option but to go through, heartlessly cull out all but the best, and just do a single photo post with selections from the past couple of weeks.

Without further preamble....

....I give you the many moods of QQ.

Actually, there's really just one mood: ecstatically happy!

She's that way pretty much all the time, unless something goes horribly wrong. And even then, she shakes it off pretty quick.

I was saving this set for just the right post, but I realized.....

There's really nothing I can say about this except, IS THIS NOT THE CUTEST FRICKIN' THING YOU'VE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE???????

The tail!!!!!

The ears!!!!

She just kills me.

Helping daddy get ready for a run.

In her snowsuit, ready for a winter jog.

Helping mommy to unload the dishwasher (one of her new favorite passtimes). She actually does hand me each item, one by one! Mommy's little helper.

And of course, she always looks stunning in red.

She looks stunning in everything. She has a very spirited soul. You can see it in her eyes. Reminds me of my girl so much, not in feature but in character.

She is magical, isn't she =). Speaking of magical, I loved your drawings. I used to have a real passion for that myself, it's kinda what i was known for in high school. Seeing yours makes me want to pick up the pencil again.

OOOOHHHH so DELICIOUS!!! in that little monkey outfit! Thank you for the cuteness overload. Now I can pass around here from time to time in my insomniac walks having something so beautiful to look at.

No culling! No culling! : )

Those last three are another set that would be so fantastic in a frame together. Red is best! At least half of YaYa's clothes are also red and a good percentage red velvet. It's just too perfect for them.
She is really just too amazing. Don't forget her in your sketching sessions! (Hint #2 on the subject.)

ps. the word for word verification here is "sarmisms". How excellent!
